Class Descriptions:

EPM 1.1 Introduction to Oracle Essbase: Intended for new users of Essbase. The course offers hands-on training to develop skills with Essbase block storage databases and provides you a firm foundation in basic database planning and development.

EPM 1.2 Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management Administration: Intended for Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management (FDM) admin users. The course offers hands-on training to learn how to implement FDM solutions to load source data from disparate systems into target analytical applications.

EPM 1.3 Oracle Hyperion Planning: Intended for Hyperion Planning developers. The course offers hands-on training to teach how to create applications, add dimensions and members, import members, load data, set up security, create data forms, set up task lists, set up calculations, and move a plan through the planning cycle.

EPM 1.4 Oracle Hyperion Financial Management: Intended for HFM developers. This course teaches how to create application metadata and deploy applications, load data from external system, secure data, translate and consolidate data, and manage the review process.

EPM 1.5 Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting: Intended for Hyperion Financial Reporting developers and end users. This hands-on course is designed to teach how to create reports, report objects, books, and batches; format reports; add auto calculations and function; manage items in the repository and define permissions for report items.

EPM 2.1 Introduction to TM1: Intended for new users of IBM Cognos® TM1. This course offers hands-on learning with TM1 front end tools and multi-dimensional spreadsheets with IBM Cognos TM1 plug-in for Microsoft Excel.

EPM 2.2 TM1 Bootcamp: Intended for power users, developers and administrators who are responsible for creating and maintaining TM1 applications. This course provides hands-on practice for server configuration, dimensions building, cubes design, as well as setting up security for multi-dimensional data.

EPM 2.3 TM1 Administration: Intended for Administrators who are responsible for managing applications. This course is designed for Administrators who understand system, network requirements and deployments and understand the operation and want to set the specific requirements in order to provide a suitable business environment.

EPM 2.4 TM1 Best Practices & Methodology: Intended for developers who want to modify their TM1 applications taking into consideration functionality, maintainability, and application performance to perfectly mesh with their enterprise. Developers will be able to design efficient TM1 applications in a systematic way or extend existing TM1 enterprise applications.

EPM 2.5 Introduction to Executive Viewer: Intended to provide students with the skills to improve ad hoc analyses and decision-making tasks. No programming background is needed and students can explore data from different perspectives, dynamically create on-the-fly calculations, generate and analyze data into graph format, and create dynamic reports.

EPM 2.6 Cognos Enterprise Planning Developer: Intended for power users and developers who are responsible for creating and maintaining Cognos Planning applications. This course provides hands-on practice for participants to learn how to build, administer, and deploy Contributor applications through the Contributor Administration Console, as well as manage security using the Cognos 8 security model, perform administrative tasks and create events using Cognos 8 Event Studio.

EPM 2.7 Cognos Enterprise Planning Administrator: Intended for administrators who are responsible for creating and maintaining Cognos Planning infrastructure. This course provides hands-on practice in installing, administering, and troubleshooting Analyst and Contributor. The course outlines how the architecture can be customized to fit into various infrastructures. Students will learn how to integrate Cognos Planning with other Cognos tools and how to implement security.

BI 1.1 Cognos BI Data Manager Developer: Intended for developers of IBM Cognos® BI Data Manager. This course offers hands-on learning to Build Datamarts with Enterprise Data. The participants will learn how to move, merge, consolidate, and transform data from a range of data sources to build and maintain subject-area data marts. They will also create a catalog and add connections to data sources and targets, as well as deliver fact and dimension data to a data mart through the use of builds and the dimensional framework. In addition, participants will learn how to automate common functionality and handle complex data issues, such as unbalanced hierarchical structures.

BI 1.2 Cognos BI Framework Developer: Intended for developers of IBM Cognos® Framework Manager. This course offers hands-on practices that provide participants with introductory to advanced knowledge of metadata modeling concepts, and how to model metadata for predictable reporting and analysis results using Framework Manager. Participants will learn the full scope of the metadata modeling process, from initial project creation, to publishing of metadata to the Web, enabling end users to easily author reports and analyze data.

BI 1.3 Cognos BI Author Bootcamp: Intended for power users, developers and administrators who are responsible for authoring Cognos BI reports. This course provides hands-on practice and covers an introduction to Cognos Connection, basic report building techniques, and how to enhance, customize, and manage professional reports in Report Studio. Through interactive practices, users will learn the report building process and basic report management.

BI 1.4 Cognos BI Administrator: Intended for administrators who are responsible for creating and maintaining Cognos BI architecture. This course provides hands-on practice for participants to learn how to identify components and sub-components of the IBM Cognos architecture and how to troubleshoot these components using various tools and techniques. Through lecture and hands-on exercises, participants will identify IBM Cognos components, examine how these components interact with Java, and identify specific examples of request flows through the system. They will also configure logging on these components to troubleshoot issues.
